Low pressure tracks just to the south of Long Island this morning, then lifts into the Gulf of Maine this afternoon, followed by high pressure building in from the west tonight. A strong cold front approaches from the northwest Wednesday morning, then crosses the area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Canadian high pressure builds in through Friday, then slides offshore into Saturday. A storm system approaches from the southwest late Saturday. $$
